Biography

Machmud A. Makhmudov, Lilburn, is a senior at Oberlin College, where he majors in Politics, with minors in Environmental Studies and International Studies. His senior thesis is on the 14th Amendment and Climate Change. He immigrated to Atlanta from Uzbekistan twenty years ago. A Truman Scholar, he has served as an intern for the White House Domestic Policy Council, for the City of Atlanta Office of Sustainability, the Environment Defense Fund, and the office of Congressman John Lewis. He is vice president of his class and served as head of and liaison to the Oberlin College Student Senate for two years. He was a pitcher on the Oberlin varsity baseball team for three years.
