Jordan Konell

Biography

Jordan R. Konell, Philadelphia, is a senior at Yale University where he majors in African American Studies and Political Science. His academic interests circle around principles of social and racial justice, as do his community and campus involvements. In Philadelphia, he has worked in the Public Interest Law Center and as a community organizer. In New Haven, he is the former Director of Community Health Educators, the largest community organization on campus. Jordan is the president of his residential college, was a summer fellow for the American Federation of Teachers, and is a Director's Fellow of the Yale Institute for Social Policy Studies. He is also a jazz trombonist and has won the F. Wilder Bellamy Jr. Memorial Prize for outstanding character.
