Other information:Billy-Ray Belcourt, 21, from the Driftpile Cree Nation, is completing a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) at the University of Alberta in Comparative Literature. He also spent a semester in Kassel through the Canadian Summer School in Germany. He is a 2015 Iris Marion Young Diversity Scholar and a Youth Leader with the Native Youth Sexual Health Network, and was a recipient of the 2015 Peter Lougheed Scholarship. At the U of A, he is the President of the Aboriginal Student Council and a founding member of the Indigenous Feminist Collective. He has presented his work at the Native American and Indigenous Studies Association annual meeting and has published in Societies. He intends to pursue an MSt in Medical Anthropology and Women’s Studies at Oxford University.
