The Rhodes Trust and Trustees

The Rhodes Trust is an educational charity whose principal activity is to support scholars selected from 14 specified constituencies in order to study at the University of Oxford.

To view the will of Cecil Rhodes and other key governance documents for the Trust, click here. Following the Rhodes community consultation on governance and the appointment of eight new Trustees from around the world in 2010, a majority of Rhodes Trustees are Rhodes Scholars.

The Trust has from time to time made benefactions to support other educational purposes either at Oxford or in the countries in which it offers Scholarships. Currently, the Trust is not making benefactions other than the Scholarships. This website will be changed to reflect any change in policy.
