Cheung Shun Yan Olivia, Rhodes Scholar from Hong Kong, class of 2012Each year, there is one Scholarship available in Hong Kong to enable an outstanding student - chosen on the basis of exceptional intellect, character, leadership, and commitment to service - to study at the University of Oxford.

Rhodes Scholars from Hong Kong have pursued a variety of careers in public service, academia, business, law, and medicine, amongst others.

Applications

Applications for the Rhodes Scholarships for 2014 for Hong Kong will open on 1 June. An application link will be added to this page on that date.

Selection of the Rhodes Scholarship for Hong Kong is by a selection committee drawn from diverse professional and academic backgrounds, including from a number of different universities.

Prospective applicants from Hong Kong should carefully review:

1. the general information about the Rhodes Scholarships,

2. the selection criteria that apply in all Rhodes constituencies, and then

3. the application criteria and procedures specific to Hong Kong.
